What's going on my fellow shoeheads? I know it's been a while, and I have a fresh pair for you to feast your eyes on! Introducing to you the Air Jordan XIII Retro Premium "Reflective Silver" aka "3M". Now I have to say, I bought these on a whim (I know that's bad) but I held onto them for a few months and they started to grow on me. Although it's not an OG colorway, I've grown to love their uniqueness. They are definitely a lifestyle colorway, as the Jordan brand is trying to sell their products to the casual customer. Now I already own a pair of XIII's (see my XIII's Low "All Whites"), but these are my first regular-cut XIII's. These are probably one of the most comfortable Air Jordans I've ever owned. The quilted upper is soft and cushy around the ankle and the black leather tongue feels great on top. Most of the shoe is covered in this reflective 3M-like material, sweet black suede outlines the shoe, and infrared accents make this shoe a show-stopper on the streets. Can't forget the hologram "23" with the Jumpman logo on the back! Check out the pics below!
Cleaner than my car.
Silver and black always match.

You can see the two tones of the silver in the sunlight in this pic.

A Classic always come through at the end
The 1997-98 season would be the last time we would see Michael win a championship. His last ring in his second three-peat, Michael was nothing short of amazing. Averaging 28.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists at the age of 34, he more than earned his last ring with the Bulls. Eventually winning the regular season MVP, All-Star MVP, and Finals MVP during that season, Michael definitely made many memories in this pair. Although everyone remembers that season for the "Last Shot" where he wore the famous (see my post on the XIV's), Michael mostly played that season in the XIII's. Whether he was tearing players up in the regular season, or going head-to-head with Kobe during the all-star game, Michael did "his dirty work" in the XIII's. Probably one of the most recognized pair in the line, these should be remembered by not only their looks, but what Michael was able to accomplish in them. Please allow me to take you down memory lane with the XIII's.
Almost game time. Sporting the "Black Toes".
Lace'em up tight Mike!
After the movie He Got Game was released, the "Black Toes" colorway was now known as the "He Got Game" colorway.

Time to get to work.
Smashing on the Nets in the Red/White colorway.

Let me show you how it's done, youngsta.

Smile for the cameras guys!

Time to show Reggie what the "Black Jesus" can do.
Steph Curry is the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors. He is having the best season of his career, and his team's NBA-leading record of 43-10 is showing the world that they are for real. This is the perfect time for him to release his signature shoe as he stands in the MVP candidate spotlight; introducing to you the Under Armour Curry Ones! UA has definitely stepped its game up with this pair: adding creativity, well-made materials, and having superstar player Steph Curry to back it. When you first put it on, they feel similar to the Nike Hyperdunks in the way they meld to your feet, but the Curry Ones are made of a more stable material called anafoam which gives it more stability. Very nice grip on the soles, and colorways are on point! Yes you heard me right, I bought BOTH colorways that were released as I couldn't get enough of them. The "Home" colorway was a given that I'd buy them, but the "Dark Matter" colorways were so hot I couldn't resist (purple is my fav color). Please check out the pics below for this double-trouble post!
Picture day with "Home" and "Dark Matter" colorways!
Side and bottoms.
Look like rocket ships with the "SC" on the back.
Who can argue with royal purple and neon green?
Purple camo = win.
Dark Matter: Hypothetical kind of matter that cannot be seen with telescopes but accounts for most of the matter in the Universe. Just like Steph's game, you can't see it but you know that it's enormous.
Toes are clean.
1932 is the year when Jan Oort discovered Dark Matter.
The year Steph was born.
Warriors colors, protect this house!
4:13 Philippians: "I can do all things..."
Wonderful metallic blue toes.
Steph writes this on every pair of shoes before he plays. "I can do all things..."
Check out the anafoam upper.
A reminder to Steph to lead his teammates to victory.
MMTB = Make my teammates better.
Candid shot.
"The League's Most Unguardable Player"
Stephen Curry is arguably the best player in the league right now. Averaging 23.6 points, 4.7 boards, 7.9 assists, while shooting 48% FG, 40% 3-Pt, and 90% FT, he's been taking the league by storm. Amazing behind the back passes, masterful handles, and assassin-like shooting from the 3 point land, he is a magician that's at the top of every team's scouting report. This Warriors team is breaking records like no other with Steph at the helm: Best start for a rookie coach ever, franchise most consecutive wins (16), franchise most consecutive home wins (19), Klay's most points in a quarter by any player in NBA history (37 pt, 13-13 from the field, 9-9 from 3-pt range), the first pair of Warriors starting an All-Star game since 1967, and #1 in points per game, assists, field goal %, and 3 point %!! Clearly the leading candidate for MVP, Steph chose the perfect time to introduce his own signature shoe, which was showcased during the All-Star game festivities. Only time will tell where this Warriors team will be placed in history, but we are certainly enjoying the journey. Thank you Steph and the Warriors for the memories so far. Please check out the pics below!
