Under Armour Curry 4 "More Rings" and "More Dimes"

Heartbreak, fate, and all of the above

What's up sneakerheads? With any pairs of shoes you buy, there's always a story behind them which makes it all worthwhile to you. After watching Steph destroy the Cavs during the 2017 NBA Finals in these kicks, I just HAD TO HAVE them. Any Dubs fan was yearning to have these pairs in their collection. To my dismay, Under Armour was selling BOTH pairs of shoes in a special pack that was next to impossible to get. They put us collectors on a wild goose chase: sending me to a random mall in Union City, wait 2 hours to get a ring to possibly enter a lottery, yada yada yada. It was pretty ridiculous and honestly a huge waste of time. Needless to say I didn't win and was getting so desperate that I tried to buy them at resell ($1000 at the time) but they didn't even have my size! Frustrated, rejected, and just plain over it, I had given up all hope on copping these. Out of nowhere, Under Armour decides to release the "More Rings" (white) and "More Dimes" (black) in separate releases! An ingenious marketing ploy to limit the supply of the champ pack and artificially increase the demand for the pairs was a great move to ensure they didn't have a flop (like they did w/ the Curry 3). I didn't care, I just wanted to cop them and I finally got my hands on them!

The Curry 4 design is a mixture of beauty and functional design. You slip the shoe on your feet like a big sock, w/ the upper internal sleeve molding to your upper ankle. This form factor gives the shoe a very sleek look, along w/ a bold colorway that definitely stands out from other kicks. Of course, you can't go wrong w/ icy bottoms and a touch a gold to give it a classic feel. It's tough to compete against huge brands like Nike and Adidas, but this design will stand the test of time!

"More Rings" = classic.

Gold accents make everything better.

Icy bottoms all day.

The Revenge Series

With the Game 7 loss in the 2016 NBA Finals on his mind the entire season, Steph Curry finally had made it back. Now fully healthy and just swept the previous 3 teams in the playoffs, Curry was ready to take back what was his. In a series of dazzling moves, shots, and clutch play, Steph rose to the occasion w/ the help of Klay, KD, and Dray back to the top of the mountain. The basketball world was in awe as even though KD was tearing up the Cavs in the Finals, Curry was also the Big Dawg on stage too. Averaging 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, 9.4 assists, and 2.2 steals in the series, Steph couldn't be stopped. With his daughter Ryan in his hands, he pranced and danced around the stage before his team was handed the championship trophy. He was finally back on top: through the injury that kept him less than 100% during last year's playoffs, to convincing KD to come play for the Dubs, and to showing the world he is still one of the best players to ever play this game.

CHAMP X2.

Fortunately, I was able to attend Game 2 and Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals to witness some of this greatness. I've added the videos I made during those games as a bonus for this post. I hope you all enjoy! Thanks again for visiting!
