Air Jordan XI Retro "Breds"

The greatest sports shoe of all time is here!

Yo, I told you I'd have something special for you this week! Quite possibly the greatest and most counterfeited shoe of all time, I present to you the Air Jordan XI Retro "Breds"! I've wanted these shoes since I was in high school; looking up at the price tags ($115) back in the day, and feeling I wasn't cool enough to wear such an iconic pair. As the years flew by, my hunger for these shoes grew...I saw them in magazines, million of pictures of them over the internet, and seemed like every cool person had a pair except me. The day finally came in 2013 when I was able to cop a pair to call my own. Quite possibly my favorite shoe in my collection, the Breds deliver everything you could ever want in a shoe; very comfortable, the exquisite patent leather enveloping the shoe, and who can forget the red ice frosting the bottoms of these lovely jewels? This pair represents not only the Air Jordan brand, but is Michael's signature icon and will be forever linked with his legacy as the Greatest Basketball Player of All Time. With so much history behind this pair, it's also one of the most stylish basketball shoes to date. A timeless pair which deserves a ton of notoriety, and demands respect wherever it goes. Every collector's dream is to own this pair, and your collection will never be complete until you have one in your repertoire. Please enjoy the pics below.

The patent leather is so shiny it's almost blinding!

They also match perfectly with my D. Rose jersey.

Taking you back to know your roots...

The XIs Breds originally made their debut during the 1995-1996 season during MJ's first championship of his second three-peat during his career. His stats during that year were 30.4 PPG, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He also went on to win the league MVP, All-Star Game MVP, Finals MVP, All-NBA 1st Team honors, and All-Defensive 1st Team honors. Do I dare say it was the shoes? The Bulls also went on to their historic 72-10 season, and won the NBA championship against the Seattle Supersonics in 6 games. Arguably one of MJ's most legendary years on the court, check out the pics below to see him in action with the XI Bred colorways on.

Nike Air Max 90 Jacquard "Gold Hypervenom" Edition

A classic is brought back, and even better than ever!!

Hi fellow shoeheads! I'd like to introduce the Nike Air Max 90 Jacquard "Gold Hypervenoms". I've been getting alot of complements lately from random people I've been running into on the streets, and so I figured I should share it on the blog. Picked these up this year (2014), which were inspired by the World Cup. I have to say, the Air Max 90 was a favorite shoe of mine back in high school, and when I first laid eyes on the Jacquards, I knew I had to have them! They almost have a high-end fashion look to them; the immaculate gold trim, the updated woven texture of the shoe (versus leather), and the striking patterns definitely makes people look twice when you walk by. They fit on my feet like a glove, and for the first time ever I don't even have to tie these shoes to wear them since they fit so well. Check out the pics below!

The upper woven fabric gives the shoes a stylish twist.

Gold-plated and blinged out!
Gold everythanggg.

Multiple patterns give the shoe depth and versatility.

Next week's post will be bringing back a classic...

I hope you all are enjoying these posts. Next week, I have something special for you. I will be bringing back an all-time classic that everyone can appreciate. Stay tuned and keep on coming back for my weekly posts. K-dizzle out!

Air Jordan Retro V's "Laneys"

My first Jordan post, but definitely not the last...

Hi everyone! Like I said in my previous post, this is a mix of my collection that I've amassed over the years, and as you will see my phototaking skills get a lot better LOL. This post is featuring one of my favorites in my collection, the Retro Jordan V's "Laneys" (circa 2013). Now this shoe originally came out in 1990, and boy does it feel like an old school shoe. You have the silly lace lock (which doesn't do anything), the fat tongue (which I love), and the flashy lightning bolt on the side. Its very comfortable around the ankles, but I would never wear them to ball because they feel so clunky compared to the streamlined basketball shoes of today. Notice the small details on this shoe; the "23" stitched to the side of the shoes, the stitched Jumpman logo on the back, and not to mention the yellow accents. The look of this shoe is undeniably "retro", and that's what makes it so classic. Raw style, solid architecture, and definitely will make someone look twice. Not mention this pair looks great with my Klay Thompson jersey!

The fat tongues with the yellow accents makes for a great look.

Stitched on "23".

Look at the ice on the bottoms.

Laneys with my Klay Thompson jersey = perfect match.

MJ's high school days...and me too!

The inspiration for this colorway is based on MJ's high school colors, the E.A. Laney Buccaneers in North Carolina. Not sure if the story is true or not about him getting cut from the team during his first try, but we all know how it turned out in the end. I've included some pics of me too during my days of high school basketball....ahhh memories haha. Shoutout to my G-town people who are reading this. Hope you all enjoy reading these posts! Please share it with your friends if you think it's cool and anyone you know who is interested in Nikes/Jordans. Catch ya'll next week for the next post, I'm out~!

Nike Huarache 2K4 (aka my unofficial Kobes)

Nike Huarache 2K4 (aka my unofficial Kobes)

As this is my first post, just want everyone to know these posts will not be in chronological order of when I bought them. Also the pictures in these posts were taken when I first bought the shoes, which means some of these pictures can be up to 11 years old. Granted some of the older pictures are not as good as now (worked on my angles and such). Now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about the Huarache 2K4's.

When I fell in love...

When these first dropped in 2003, I instantly fell in love with the shoes. The high-top design, the sleek streamlined structure, and most of all the awesome high-top strap for "maximum ankle support". It had an old school feel with a new school twist to them. One of my favorite colors back then was red, and boy did this pair flash some red. The sides of the sole were painted fireman red, as well as the bottoms. It had everything I wanted and more!

Check out the suede toe!

Needed a little more corkboard or zoom in a little more.

Ridiculous picture of me back in the day, but wanted to show what the shoes looked like on my feet.

The Kobe effect and actual use

As any popular Nike shoe, they always need a frontman to headline the shoe line, and that person was Kobe Bryant, who happened to be my favorite player of all time. He wore different colorways, purple on white, white on purple, and man could he ball in them. As a player of the game, I had to wear the same kicks as Kobe on the court, and so I bought a SECOND pair of these shoes in the gray/blue colorway. Great response, wonderful fit, and most importantly made me look good on the court haha. I wish I would've bought 5 more pairs of these back in the day. Although it was a team Nike shoe (make multiple colorways for team use), it was definitely one of its kind, and in my opinion, paved the way to the Hyperdunk series.

Colorway I used to ball in.
